The JKU highly values inter-faculty and cross-disciplinary events. Under the guidance of Prof. Alois Birklbauer (JKU) and Prof. Andreas Valentin (Donaustadt Hospital Vienna), legal and medical experts shared their different perspectives as part of the "Learning to Understand Each Other – A Conversation between the Legal and Medical Professions" discussion series. Legal and medical professionals each have their own terminology and perspectives, often leading to misunderstandings and even court disputes and legal battles. The JKU medLOft at the Faculty of Medicine served as the venue and JKU Vice-Rector Dr. Elgin Drda and Dr. Erich Dietachmayr, President of the Linz Higher Regional Court, welcomed the participants.
