The JKU medTALK Now Open to the Public

A discussion titled "Neurosciences - Where Are We Now and What Does the Future Hold?" will feature experts in the field.

The JKU medTalk will now not only be held six times a year instead of four times as in the past, the discussion will now also be open to the public. The JKU medTalk kicks off on January 24 at 3:30 PM in the JKU medLOFT (9th floor, Krankenhausstraße 5, 4020 Linz).

The neurosciences in Linz focus on the complex mechanisms involved in the nervous system, spanning a broad spectrum and conducting interdisciplinary and cross-site research in an effort to better understand neurological diseases and develop new treatments.

The panel will feature:

  • Univ. Prof. Dr. Andreas Gruber, head of the Department of Neurosurgery
  • Univ. Prof. Dr. Raimund Helbok, head of the Department of Neurology
  • Mag. Dr. Sabine Spiegl-Kreinecker, head biologist, Laboratory of Theoretical Neurosurgery
  • OÄ Priv.-Doz. Dr. Anna Heidbreder, Department of Neurology
  • Dr. Christian Thome, Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology
  • Moderation: Dr. Christine Haiden, journalist and president of the Upper Austrian Press Club Press Club
