Leading international experts in the field of European economic and monetary law spoke about current constitutional issues relating to the European Central Bank's (ECB) monetary policy. They focused on, among other things, the ECB’s mandate limits, the problem regarding defining the boundaries between monetary union and economic union, and the role of fundamental European rights.

Prof. Rainer Palmstorfer organized the workshop together with project partner Julia Kreuzhuber (both at the Institute for European Law), and remarked: "Having experts come all the way to the JKU shows just how significant and important the topic is." Organized in cooperation with the Austrian National Bank, the workshop was held as part of the Jubilee Fund Project No. 18778.
