May 16, 2024: Film Screening "FEMINISM WTF"

"FEMINISM WTF", a documentary by director Katharina Mückstein, explores the wide range of topics currently being discussed under the terms feminism and equality.

The feminist movement is regarded as the greatest social movement during the 20th century. Despite this, feminism's legitimacy is continuously called into question even today. The film features various experts from the fields of political and social sciences, masculinity studies, gender, queer and trans studies.

The film explores questions as to how each of us can help dismantle power and dependent relationships in order to create a society of the many that stands in solidarity.

 

A panel discussion moderated by Dr. Karin Neuwirth (Assistant Chair of Legal Gender Studies at the JKU) will follow the film screening.
