Action and Impact.

Space for transdisciplinary collaboration & joint discovery

We work on projects that go beyond the traditional boundaries of disciplines, create new connections and thus open up new dimensions of knowledge.

The power and potential of our projects arises from the intensive cooperation of actors from scientific and artistic milieus. These new forms of collaboration promote a dynamic transfer of knowledge and technology and make it possible to utilize points of friction and synergies from different disciplines and ways of thinking. The promotion of constant exchange and networking between artists, scientists, companies, (non-)governmental organizations and activists holds great potential for innovative ideas and solutions for current and future challenges.

Projects at the interface of science and art that we have supported include the LIT-Ars Electronica projects, which make research work visible on international stages such as the Ars Electronica Festival, as well as collaborations with cooperation partners such as Ars Electronica, which create valuable points of contact between scientific and artistic practice. We were also part of the Wissenstransferzentrum West “From STEM to STEAM”, in which we worked with other Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences to interweave the STEM disciplines (STEM) more closely with art.
