The Archives Department at the Main Campus Library is home to valuable historical documents, collections, etc. aimed at preserving the Johannes Kepler University's historical traditions and makes space for the university's growing historical collections. Important and valuable JKU documents are archived and made available for administrative and research purposes.
The Archives accepts various documents such as meeting minutes, correspondence, literature by professors and university employees as well as photos, films, plans, administrative leaflets and brochures, research and teaching documents. The collections not only include official documents and university documents in the narrower sense of the word, but also sources that document chronological events on campus.
The Archives accept and record submitted inventory, making it available to the university's administration as well as for scientific research. Staff members at the office provide expert advice and information to support users.
