At JKU Business School we are committed to maintaining high standards in teaching, research, and administration. Quality is more than just numbers and metrics—it is a continuous, evolving process shaped by academic standards, societal needs, and the dedication of our faculty and staff. Through rigorous quality management and accreditation, we ensure that our programs remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with the ever-changing demands of education and business.

JKU has a comprehensive quality assurance system, opens in new window, which has been successfully audited by the Swiss Agency for Accreditation and Quality Assurance. University-wide quality assurance measures include initiatives in teaching and learning based on the “student life cycle,” regular surveys and evaluations, an SAP-based central reporting system, and awards for excellence in teaching.

Building on the strong foundation of JKU's Quality Assurance System, the JKU Business School has gone a step further by developing its own system to enhance academic programs and overall performance. Our approach to Quality Assurance, opens in new window is holistic and rests on three key pillars: Standardized Processes, Analyzing Data, and Dialogue with Stakeholders.

A key component of our Quality Assurance efforts is the Assurance of Learning (AoL), opens in new window process, which ensures that students achieve the Competency Goals set by the Business School. AoL is an integral part of our continuous improvement efforts, providing data-driven insights that help refine our programs and enhance student learning.

In 2024, we achieved a significant milestone by receiving EFMD Program Accreditation, opens an external URL in a new window for our MSc Management program, opens in new window, making it the first program in Austria to earn this prestigious recognition.

The European Foundation for Management Development, opens an external URL in a new window (EFMD) is an international, non-profit organization committed to supporting and improving management education worldwide. EFMD program accreditation is a globally recognized seal of quality confirming compliance to the highest standards in management education.

We are a proud member of AACSB, opens an external URL in a new window (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and are actively working towards AACSB institutional accreditation, further demonstrating our commitment to excellence in business education.

AACSB is a global accreditation body that sets rigorous standards for business schools to ensure high-quality education, impactful research, and strong industry connections. AACSB accreditation recognizes business schools that demonstrate excellence in teaching, curriculum, faculty qualifications, and students’ achievement of clearly defined learning objectives and competency goals.
