Over 400 Runners at the 2nd Annual JKU Campus Run

The JKU Campus Run attracted enthusiastic runners in ideal racing conditions.

The route took runners on several laps around Austria’s most beautiful campus university, including around the university pond, through the Science Park, up to the TNF Tower and around the Kepler Hall. Attracting over 400 runners, this year's race boasted a 43% increase in the number of participants. Students also took on the JKU Campus School Run’s first-ever athletic challenge to complete as many laps as possible in 15 minutes.

The team “Cast Away - JKU Biophysics” (Nora Müller, Herwig Grabmayr, Matthias Sallinger) won the standard co-ed race in 23.55 minutes, while the women's team “You Never Run Alone” (Elena Neumüller, Sarah Egger, Katharina Opeker) won in 27.52 minutes. First place in the men's category went to “22 - Semester Sportstudium” (Tobias Tatzreiter, Florian Will, Elias Zauner) with a time of 21.14 minutes.

The participants summed it up: The race and the atmosphere were great fun and they look forward to the 2025 JKU Campus Run!
