Designed as an assembly hall and event center, the 3,000 m² JKU Welcome Center is also home to the JKU Merchandise Shop, a sports and multi-purpose hall for the University Sports Institute (USI), a gym, and a sauna. The spacious, covered outdoor area is often used as a meeting place or for events such as the Ars Electronica Festival, concerts, an open-air cinema, a weekly market, and food trucks.

The Kepler Hall is located between the Parking Lot P1 and the university pond.
