Wilhelm Macke was a founding professor of physics in Linz. Established from his estate, the foundation supports outstanding physics students by providing mobility grants and awards. The grants serve to (partially) finance research or continual education opportunities abroad; the awards are presented in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
