Erasmus+ Traineeship Scholarships.

Information given here is applicable for internships in 2024/25.

Apply for the Erasmus+ traineeship scholarship if you plan on doing a 2-month minimum internship in Europe:

Quick Facts:

  • Duration: 2-12 months per study level and/or 24 months in a Diploma degree program
  • In EU membership countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Turkey
  • A stay in the home country (centre of life/main place of residence before studying at JKU) cannot not funded.
  • Full-time internship
  • Medicine: For clinical-practical year there is also the possibility to apply for other countries worldwide.

Scholarships are between € 620- € 670 a month depending on the country (2024/25):

The scholarship period is limited to six months. Additionally, if the remuneration exceeds 150% of the scholarship rate, the scholarship period will be limited to 2 months. The remaining time will be a "zero grant" period.

For the clinical-practical year you can also apply for other countries around the world (700 EUR) or respectively Switzerland and the UK (670 EUR).

Students who study abroad together with their children, or students who have disabilities or a chronic illness can get an additional € 250 per month. In the case of a chronic illness, special subsidy can also be granted if additional costs arise abroad due to the illness.

From the 2024/25 academic year, all students will also receive a travel allowance. You can find more information on the amounts under “Green Travel”.
