This year's annual scientific meeting at the Vienna Bone and Growth Center, opens an external URL in a new window was hosted by Nadja Fratzl-Zelman and her team from the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Osteology.

During the annual meeting of the Austrian Diabetes Association (ÖDG), Thomas Hörtenhuber was awarded the "ÖDG Start-Up Grant 2024" for his project investigating early changes in glucose metabolism in very young children with cystic fibrosis. This grant, amounting to €10,000, ensures the implementation of the project and also provides the opportunity to invite additional collaboration partners from other centers!

Our two teams have been working highly actively in clinical and translational research in the areas of growth, diabetes and bone diseases for years. The meeting in Prague was therefore almost overdue! We had a lot of fun and a very good exchange, which will hopefully lead to collaborations.
