Lungpathology.

The focus here is on the characterization of lung changes caused by Covid-19. Investigations are being conducted on the specificity of Covid-19-induced lung damage in comparison to morphologically similar changes that are not induced by Covid-19. These investigations are closely linked to general work in the field of autopsy, where new techniques are being established and autopsy-specific topics are being addressed. Other projects, which are also conducted in collaboration, focus on interstitial lung diseases and various tumors and their molecular background.
