The 2024 EC²U Forum Photo Competition: Celebrating Campus Life

As part of the 2024 EC²U Forum at the Johannes Kepler University, we are planning to hold a Photo Competition designed to create an enriching visual journey of our partner universities! The Photo Competition is an open invitation to each participating institution to submit one original photo that captures their campus’ vibrancy and uniqueness. The images are not only a celebration of diversity within the EC²U Alliance, but will also serve to spark an interest among guests and visitors to explore and connect with our partner institutions.

Information to Take Part:

• Theme: Capturing Campus Life
• Submission Deadline: Submit photos by September 15, 2024, during registration.
• Photo Size: A1, can be either vertical or horizontal.
• Minumum Image Resolution: 3840 x 2160 pixels
• Photo Caption: Can be creatively inspired or provide information about the photo; as the photographer, it's up to you!.
• Exhibition Dates: October 18 - October 25, 2024
• Voting Period: October 18, beginning at 12.00 PM, and ending on October 24, 2024, at 12.00 PM
• Photo Exhibition Location: Hall B, Lecture Hall Wing, Johannes Kepler University Linz

Uploading Instructions: When signing up to attend the Forum, we will ask if you intend to take part in the photo competition. If so, we will ask you to submit one photo image as specified regarding the size and resolution. If the file is 2 MB or less, you can upload it directly, or (preferably) use a transfer service (such as WeTransfer, opens an external URL in a new window) and copy & paste the link in the registration form.

Copyright: Please make sure you have permission from anyone depicted in the image to use their image as part of this photo competition. If using someone else's image, make sure you have their permission.

Photo Selection: Once registration for the Forum has closed, each university will internally select three photos they feel best represent their university’s spirit. The photos will be displayed in an A1-size format and depict various aspects, including building architecture, student and campus life, and memorable events. Each photo will be captioned.

Voting and Awards: During the Forum, visitors and guests - including students, employees, and registered participants - will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite photo. We will announce the winning photo (determined by receiving the highest number of votes) during the closing event, celebrating both the image and the university the photo represents.
