Times of change require fresh, new ideas and this applies to celebrations and festivities as well! The Johannes Kepler University Linz will host its first Summer Ball under the motto, "DANCE THE KEPLER", on Friday, June 14, 2024. Join us for a night-long celebration of community and entertainment, right here at the JKU!

The JKU intends to embark toward a new era and host a special kind of university ball inspired by the university's namesake, Johannes Kepler. For one evening, the campus will be transformed into a unique venue where science, academia, education, and dancing come together for one unforgettable night!

Visitors can expect an exciting, fun, and diverse program at the JKU Summer Ball!

Upon entering the ball, guests will be musically welcomed by “BANDADRIATICA”. The University Orchestra, accompanied by a dance performance (Bruckner University Linz) will kick the festivities off at 8:30 PM.

There will be plenty of non-stop music to get your groove on on the dance floor, chat over a glass of bubbly, and dance the night away during yet another legendary edition of “Your Prof is Your DJ!” when university professors take to the turntables. VOICES AND MUSIC, a successful, charming, and personable Upper Austrian band, will take you on an unforgettable musical journey featuring global hits and timeless songs from the 50s to the present day.

The SOUL DELIGHT trio will create a pleasant ball atmosphere with their music, providing a relaxed feeling so you can enjoy the summer ball to the fullest!

Joel Teodoro and BANDADRIATICA invite you to take part in a “Revolution Dance - Arriva la Banda”! Teodoro, also known as “Fee Ling”, is famous for his impassioned dancing and emotional dance choreographies. The Linz-based artist's dance style is characterized by his dynamism, creativity and emotion. Joel runs the successful dance program “Revolution Dance” together with Veronika Maidukova. “Revolution Dance” is a living vision of dance and social interaction. As a multiple state champion in show dance and a successful international competitor at the World Dance Championships, “Revolution Dance” is not just about learning dance steps, but also about building personality, self-confidence and a sense of team spirit.

Whether young or old, skilled dancers or not, all of the guests can join in when the entire JKU gets moving and begins dancing! 2:tages:bart will host the midnight quadrille!
