Moot Court Dates to Listen In.

A moot court is a fictitious court proceeding designed to give law students an opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. The moot court is a realistic simulation of a court case, including a court hearing.

The "moot court" sessions give law students an opportunity to learn more about real-world legal practices in a corresponding legal field. Supervised by experienced university professors, legal experts, and judges, students are required to examine the applicable case and substantiate their legal position with compelling arguments. In addition to writing the statements, holding the oral hearing is one of the course's high points. The course instructors observe and monitor the budding legal professionals, providing them with immediate and detailed feedback after the hearing.

You can listen in on the following moot court sessions during the current Winter Semester:

  • Moot Court Criminal law (as part of the course KO Rechtsambulanz. File analysis and ruling discussion)
