3.30 PM - | “Knitted Anatomy”. A guest appearance by the JKU Circus of Knowledge at the JKU MED Campus featuring an anatomical dramatization: What are we made of? The thread winding its way across the jungle landscape that are our “woolly” organs was lovingly and anatomically correctly knitted by physician and anthropologist Katharina Sabernig. As a puppet theater performer, Rebekah Wild brings these anatomical works of art to life, taking the thymus to school with a white blood cell, meeting the Queen of Hearts, surfing in the bloodstream, and encountering our immune cell heroes as they use ingenious tricks to ward off nasty invaders! University Medicine - a Special Mission and Responsibility
We are committed to not only providing state-of-the-art surgical and medical examination techniques, but also applying and further developing state-of-the-art treatment. In addition to the primary and standard care available to patients at hospitals throughout Upper Austria, the Kepler University Hospital is also able to offer the highest level of care across 50 medical and specialist departments as well as at a wide range of competence centers.
Researchers are in direct contact with patients and incorporate their clinical expertise into their research, making it possible to to continuously further improve medical treatments that in turn benefits patients.University Medicine distinguishes a university hospital from conventional hospitals. There are many procedures and treatments, such as aortic arch replacement and vascular neurosurgery, performed solely at university hospitals.

Medical studies in Linz focus strongly on general medicine. There are over 50 physicians with their own practices in private practice throughout Upper Austria are also involved in education at the Faculty of Medicine.
Studying Medicine in Linz
Austria's first medical degree program offered as part of Bachelor's/Master's system is educating a new generation of physicians in Linz. The modules are organ-centered and topic-centered at the crossroads of medical practices and clinical research. Your advantages include:

- The Johnannes Kepler University Linz has 4 faculties. This means that if you want, your medical studies in Linz are interdisciplinary! Medical technology, healthcare economics, medical ethics, or medical law - supplement your studies with exciting subjects offered at the Linz Institute of Technology (LIT), for example, or at the Faculty of Law, or at the JKU Business School.
- Textbooks are all well and good - but you can study virtual anatomy and pathology in ways you never dreamed possible! You can experience the human body in 3D at the JKU medSPACE during some of your classes!
