We fund and support researchers as they plan and implement their clinical projects.
The Center for Clinical Research at the JKU Faculty of Medicine at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) is the parent organization that is home to the Competence Center for Clinical Studies Linz (KKS Linz) and the Coordination Office for Clinical Research Projects in support of establishing and developing projects. As part of a close collaboration, the idea is to jointly develop interdisciplinary processes and synergies at a crossroads so they can be effectively utilized.
KKS Linz (Center for Clinical Research) aims to support and strengthen on-site clinical research by taking advantage of professional and expert guidance, providing efficient services, and offering workshops and continual education courses that focus on conducting clinical trials and clinical research projects. Conducting patient-oriented research in an academic environment according to international standards as well as conducting base-knowledge biomedical research is essential in order to improve the way we prevent, diagnose, and treat illnesses.
The Center for Medical Research established the Coordination Office for Clinical Research Projects in an effort to effectively provide JKU researchers with the targeted support services they need at university hospitals and clinical institutes in order to formally conduct clinical research at the university. Researchers wishing to start a research project at the JKU can contact the office as an initial contact point. The Coordination Office serves as a pivotal hub between researchers and the JKU and any KUK organizations involved in the project.
