The Department of Finance and Investment Management is responsible for:

Finance and Investment Management assists JKU companies with shareholder and supervisory board matters, focusing on financial monitoring.

Internally, the Dept. of Finance and Investment Management serves as a hub for respective departments, providing the Rectorate with important information. Externally, the department serves as a point of contact for managing directors, their controlling officers, and other external parties.

Investment management is coordinated with the Rectorate. The department also serves as a main point of contact for all issues regarding financing, ranging from debt financing and capitalization of affiliated companies to the JKU's financial design and its real estate projects.

As a direct point of contact, the ICS officer supports the respective process owners in determining process requirements, creating and modifying procedures, and specifying appropriate monitoring methods.

The ICS officer seeks to work together with the process owners to ensure a well-functioning internal control system at the JKU by identifying the risks of work and operating processes in full so these risks can be managed as effectively as possible.

The ICS officer is also responsible for regularly conducting a university-wide risk assessment by process owners, which is then depicted in a risk control matrix.

Depending on the situation, the ICS officer carries out monitoring activities.
