The institute was presented with the award in recognition of introducing “Changemaker Market Day”, a concept that involves bringing students in business education together with primary school children and introducing entrepreneurial concepts and approaches, ranging from creating a business idea and putting it into practice, to holding a “market day”.

Under the direction of Monika Gahleitner-Sofaly and Laura Lindenbauer, during the current semester students will also learn more about various areas of entrepreneurship and education, who then assist the school children to act as “changemakers” and carry out their very first entrepreneurial project.

The “Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year” is an annual award presented in recognition of outstanding institutions and educators, and acknowledges examples of ‘good practice’ educational models in the field of entrepreneurship education.
