Medina Hamidović presented with IEEE 2020 ComSoc Competition Award

The JKU researcher received the 2020 IEEE ComSoc Competition Award for "Communications Technology Changing the World" in recognition of her outstanding doctoral dissertation.

Hamidović works at the Institute for Communications Engineering and Radiofrequency Systems at the JKU (department head: Prof. Andreas Springer). She has been presented with numerous awards in recognition of her work.

Doctoral Dissertation: "Microfluidic Networks: The Future of Human Integrated Communication Systems"

Content: MMSc may be the future of communications technology. In contrast to conventional communication systems, these new com-systems are linked to humans to not only communicate, but also for use in medicine and pharmaceuticals. These new systems are referred to as Microfluidic Networks and are an important field of research at the JKU.

Hobbies: Reading and running

CV: Hamidović studied at the University of Tuzla (Bosnia), Heriot-Watt University (Great Britain), and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). She joined the JKU in 2017 and was the recipient of this year’s "International Women in Technology Award" (USA).
