The JKU is not only a melting pot of science, society and culture, but also an award-winning architectural attraction. At the Circus of Knowledge, visitors both young and old alike can enjoy and marvel at performances designed to combine science and art. The building itself also sparks a sense of wonder. Together with Kepler Hall and the LIT Open Innovation Center, the Circus of Knowledge was presented with the Holzbaupreis OÖ 2022 award in the category of "Public Buildings".

Out of 157 submissions, a total of 23 buildings were honored by the state and partners, including the Upper Austrian Wood Construction Guild.
