The 2024 EC2U Forum: Empowering Minds to Support a Peaceful Society

This year's EC2U Forum will serve to disseminate findings and showcase the EC2U Alliances' accomplishments.

 

The Johannes Kepler University Linz is this year's venue to host a unique four-day forum bringing university representatives, researchers, and students from eight partner universities across Europe together.

The Johannes Kepler University Linz is hosting this year's four-day EC²U Forum, a pre-eminent conference to disseminate and showcase the EC²U Alliances' accomplishments. The Forum will bring representatives, researchers, and students from eight partner universities across Europe together in an effort to foster an open society and create a sustainable, peaceful future by means of education, inclusion, and respectful dialogue. The Forum includes a diverse range of activities that include publicly accessible sessions, such as a Higher Education Roundtable Discussion, Citizen Science sessions, a photo exhibition, career sessions, think-tank presentations, a science contest, and presentations from the Student Voices program. These sessions are a unique opportunity for Forum participants, visitors, and guests to connect and engage in important discussions, share insight, and build networks.

Forum Highlights

The EC2U Forum will offer a variety of engaging, publicly accessible sessions:

  • A Photo Exhibition: An inspiring photo exhibition is an opportunity to travel with us to all eight partner universities and learn more about these universities’ home cities.
  • A Career Session: Meet successful university representatives and get more insight on how to advance your career in the public sector, within industry, or in the local business community.
  • Think-Tank Sessions: Listen to summaries and recommendations devised by eight think-tanks focusing on "Social Innovation to Build Peace."
  • Science Contest: Watch EC2U teams compete and tackle scientific challenges by applying innovative approaches.
  • Student Voices: EC2U students will hold presentations about their solutions to the Student Challenge to support peace, justice, and strong institutions.
