Krishnendu Bhowmick completed his Ph.D. studies

On October 21st, 2024, Krishnendu Bhowmick successfully defended his PhD-thesis "Convexity, sumsets and discrete geometry".

Krish is affiliated with RICAM, but is connected with the Algebra Institute via his PhD supervisor Oliver Roche-Newton. His thesis solves several combinatorial problems at the intersection of additive combinatorics and discrete geometry, with much inspiration taken from beautiful questions posed by Paul Erdős. His research has led to publications in Discrete and Computational Geometry, Mathematika, and Integers.

Krish now continues as a postdoc at RICAM. We wish him all the best for the future.
