LARD 2024/1

The first Linz Algebra Research Day of this year was held today.

LARD 2024

The Linz Algebra Research Day (LARD) is a regular informal meeting taking place twice a year at which researchers with a connection to both Linz and algebra inform each other what they are currently working on. The first meeting of this year was held today in HS11. The program consisted of nine short talks covering a wide range of topics in algebra. The picture shows Prof. Pilz using an ax and a trunk to illustrate the splitting of a group into two semigroups.

The next LARD will be held in December at RISC. In order to get updates on upcoming LARDs, consider joining the Forum Algebra group.
