The working group macromolecular chemistry is the Austrian platform for polymer and colloi-dal chemistry. Representatives of academia and industry have the possibility to exchange and discuss ideas covering all aspects from basic research to applied technologies.
Topics
• Synthesis and production of polymeric materials
• Analysis and characterization of polymers and colloids
• Conversion and applications of plastics
• Co-operation with other working groups of GÖCH (e.g. rheology and colloid research, food chemistry, cosmetics and tensides)
• Co-operation with Austrian Physics Society (ÖPG) and their working groups (e.g. po-lymer physics)
Activities
• Organization of the „Austrian Slovenian Polymer Days“ (frequency every 12 to 18 month)
• Organization of the „Advances in Polymer Science and Technology“ with special fo-cus on Polyolefins (frequency every 2 years)
• Organization of special lectures at the different local GÖCH branches
• Representation in the epf (European Polymer Federation)
