The 2024 EC²U Forum: Citizen Science in Action. The RI4C2 Project and EC²U Pilot Living Labs.

Explore the power of citizen science during the EC²U Forum and discover how collaborative efforts in research and innovation are making an impact. During this session, we will introduce the activities that are a part of the RI4C2 project (an EC²U Alliance sister project) that focus on supporting research and innovation partnerships. Participants will learn more about the RI4C2 project's Citizen Science initiative and, as part of the EC²U Living Lab for Good Health & Well-being, the “Better Aging at Home” initiative. Living Labs at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz will be introduced as an inspiration for the EC²U community to develop similar projects.

Session Highlights

  • Presentation: The PEKE Launch. The EC2U Pan-European Knowledge Ecosystem (PEKE) launched recently, providing collaborative parameters to support sharing insight and knowledge across Europe. Learn more, opens an external URL in a new window
  • RI4C2 Living Labs: A presentation about the three Living Labs created as part of the RI4C2 project.
  • The "Better Aging at Home" Project: Learn more about Laurent Bosquet's project on lifestyles and health as part of the EC²U Living Lab for Good Health & Well-being.
  • Citizen Science at JKU:
Patricia Stark, coordinator of the Impact Lab at the Linz Institute for Transformative Change (LIFT_C), will present on the role of Citizen Science at JKU. With over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of people and technology, Patricia will share her expertise on fostering societal involvement in academia and innovative solutions. Learn how the Impact Lab is creating experimental spaces to support collaboration between science and the public.

About the RI4C2 Project
