Laura Porak (ICAE) and Rouven Reinke (University of Hamburg) received the “REPE Best Paper Award 2023/2024” at the EAEPE conference on September 6, 2024 for their contribution to the importance of qualitative research within economics. In their paper "The contribution of qualitative methods to economic research in an era of polycrisis", both argue that economic polycrises - such as the climate crisis, the COVID-19 crisis, etc. - and their diverse impacts can be better understood through the use of qualitative research methods.
