International Competitiveness

A multi-level analysis for Austria and Europe

The project examines the determinants of international competitiveness and their socio-economic implications at company, regional and country level. The focus of the study is on Austria and other European countries.

The relationship between "technological change" and "globalization" and their implications for gross domestic product, income and wealth inequality, employment and well-being will be given special consideration. Regional differences are taken into account through the use of disaggregated data and the construction of regional indicators.
