Vision
The Institute conducts research in the field of entrepreneurship, offers practice-oriented courses and supports JKU company founders on their path to self-employment.
Our principles are:
- High practical orientation: Involvement of start-up experts and entrepreneurs in teaching, processing of practice-relevant problems through cooperation with young companies, field interviews
- Close cooperation with the regional and Austria-wide start-up network: start-up experts are regularly involved in the courses as guest speakers or lecturers
- Integration of our entrepreneurship research into teaching (e.g. studies on students' start-up activities, evaluation of the impact of entrepreneurship education)
- Current developments are researched and integrated into university teaching (currently e.g. entrepreneurial skills and self-development, IT entrepreneurship, cooperation between start-ups and large companies, social entrepreneurship, sustainable entrepreneurship, burnout prevention, meaning- and value-oriented business start-ups or intrapreneurship). These topics are also dealt with in the form of diploma, bachelor's and master's theses
