Sarah Amsl, MSc.

University Assistant (currently on leave)

Curriculum Vitae

From childhood onwards, I was surrounded by enthusiastic salespeople in my close family circle, which always inspired me a lot and ultimately also moved me to pursue such a vocation. While I was preparing for my A-levels, I had the idea that it would be a great benefit to combine a vocational training and a university degree.

As a result, I immediately started a dual study programme at a German insurance company (Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs AG) in October 2014 after completing my A-levels. Over the next three years, I then went through the insurance company's sales training, the bachelor's degree programme (business administration with a focus on insurance) at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim and the training as a financial investment specialist (IHK) all in the same time.

Afterwards, I decided to return to my hometown Passau to do my Master's degree (Business Administration with a focus on International Management and Marketing). During this study programme, it was also important to me to combine theory and practice, which is why I accepted a working student position at a local retailer (Modehaus Garhammer) from the beginning of my studies in 2018. To expand my practical experience, I started a new job as a key account manager at a regional start-up (Carminga GmbH) at the beginning of 2020. In October 2020, I successfully completed my Master's degree.

Directly after that, I started working as a university assistant at the Institute of Retailing, Sales and Marketing at Johannes Kepler University in November 2020. My research focuses on consumer research in the retail and service industries. Special attention is given to customer experience management and the various contextual factors (service delivery networks, platforms).

I am really pleased about this new challenge and I am looking forward with curiosity and eagerness to many interesting and instructive years.
