Quantum Dynamics and Classical Dynamics

We focus on:

  • analytical and numerical methods to describe the propagation of waves and particles (Hamilton-Jacobi, Lagrangian mechanics, Heisenberg equation of motion, canonical transformations)
  • algorithm design for high precision numerical evaluation (numerical methods, rational approximations, analytic and asymptotic evaluation of oscillatory integrals)
  • algorithm design for many-core processors (GPU, CPU) to describe interacting particles classically or quantum mechanically (open quantum systems)
  • explicit time-dependent forces: analytical solvable cases, numerical methods

High Performance Computing

Scientific Computing at the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC)

As a service for the JKU colleagues using high performance computers, we advise and coordinate the access of JKU users on the VSC system.

Registration and participation in the JKU-VSC meetings, which take place four times a year, is highly recommended for active and prospective JKU VSC users. Please contact the VSC-JKU coordinator to be added to the mailing list.
