Markus Schöberl

Short CV

Markus Schöberl was appointed Full Professor and Head of the Institute of Control Engineering and Process Automation in October 2024. He recieved his habilitation in 2014 at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) in the field of “Control Engineering and Control Theory”. His dissertation and habilitation were funded by a DOC and an APART grant from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. He is (was) leading the FWF projects P-29964 (2017-2021), P-32151 (2019-2023), P-36473 (2023-2027) and is Area Coordinator of the Competence Center for Symbiotic Mechatronics of the Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM). His main research and teaching interests are in the field of geometric methods in systems and control theory and the modeling and control of nonlinear and distributed-parameter systems.
