The SoMaP spin-off company sendance has been awarded the prestigious EDISON award in GOLD for the best high-tech innovation in Upper Austria.
This came as a pleasant surprise, as we had to pitch in fornt of a high-class jury against a really hard competition.
Melanie Baumgartner, Florian Hartmann, Martin Kaltenbrunner and the entire SoMaP Team have been awarded with the 4000,- prize for their work on "Resilient yet entirely degradable biogels for soft robots and electronics", opens an external URL in a new window.
In his poster, Florian presents a group of biodegradable elastomers that are used as a platform for transient electronics and degradable robots.
The IEEE DEIS Fellowship Award of $5000 is annually awarded to further graduate education in the areas of electrical insulation and dielectric phenomena, Florian was selected for the topic "Dielectric Separators for a New Generation of Stretchable Batteries".
High distinction for Martin Kaltenbrunner : he was awarded an ERC Starting Grant of the European Research Council with a funding of 1,5 million Euro.
