RISC Software Ltd. in Hagenberg Celebrated 30 Years of Software and Research
To mark its 30th anniversary, RISC Software Ltd. hosted an anniversary reception during the Ars Electronica Festival.
Bruno Buchberger established the RISC Institute - and subsequently the Softwarepark Hagenberg – in 1987. RISC Software Ltd. was created in 1992 as a spin-off company of the RISC Institute and specialized in conducting applied research as well as driving experimental development and industrial technology transfer forward. Combining subject-area expertise along with symbolic computing proved to be the key to success. Expertise in the areas of logistics informatics, industrial software applications, medical informatics, and domain-specific applications to support the development of real-world software solutions is in high demand all over the world. Notable clients include Airbus, DS Automotion, MIBA, Fill Maschinenbau, Doka, and WFL Millturn Technologies.
Ars Electronica and RISC Software: Connecting Common Threads
This year’s Ars Electronica theme, "Welcome to Planet B", refers to the political, social, cultural, and technological challenges of the 21st century. RISC Software Ltd. is also active in the field of transformation, particularly in a technological sense, of course, and the Festival brought culture together with technological and social issues.
