Since the beginning of the summer semester 2012, all diploma and master's theses as well as dissertations written at JKU must be submitted electronically in addition to the printed version. The electronic version must be uploaded in PDF format before submitting the print version.

Please note that you can only submit your printed version if it corresponds exactly to the uploaded electronic version and that there is no delay between the upload of the electronic version and the submission of the print version is no more than one working day (in case of postal day between the upload of the electronic version and the submission of the print version (for postal submission by distance postmark). Therefore, it is recommended to create the PDF file first and to submit a printout of this file as the print version.
The PDF file must be saved in such a way that the text of the paper can be processed digitally. In particular, it must not be a scanned image file of the print version. The file must also not be encrypted or password-protected and should be stored in ISO 19005-1 compatible format (PDF/A) for long-term archiving.
The submitted work will be analyzed with plagiarism checking software and the and the result of the check will be forwarded together with the paper to the responsible supervisor.
