Food choices are more than just personal preferences – they can convey significant social signals. What people choose to eat, whether it’s meat, vegetarian, or vegan diets, can profoundly influence how they are perceived by others. This talk provides a comprehensive overview of the literature on food choice and person perception, comparing some of the most common methods in this subfield. Through a series of studies, it examines how people in different cultural contexts perceive vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters.
