Univ. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Gruber and Univ. Prof. Dr. Gerald Roman Berger-Weber shared insight into their respective areas of research.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Gruber conducts research and teaches at the Institute of Institute of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics. His inaugural lecture titled "Don't Lose Your Bearing: Recent Developments in Magnetically Levitated Systems and Bearingless Drives" addressed embedded electronic devices in vehicle control systems and how they increase motor durability. Prof. Gruber provided an overview of new magnetic bearing technologies and the potential of bearing-free motorsn.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Gerald Roman Berger-Weber (Institute of Polymer Processing and Digital Transformation) inaugural lecture titled "Hybrid Modeling of Continuous and Discontinuous Polymer Processing Paving the Way for Digital Process Twins" focused on neural networks' ability to analyze physical processes using a hybrid modeling approach and without having to conduct real experiments. This method is mainly used for industrial processes.
