Introducing the new Dean's Office of the Faculty of Medicine

The new Dean's Office at the JKU’s Faculty of Medicine began its new term of office on October 1.

Elgin Drda, Vice-Rector for Medicine, will continue to serve as Dean throughout the new term. The Dean for Student Affairs and the Dean for Research provide her with support and assistance.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Bernd Lamprecht is the new Dean for Student Affairs,
Univ. Prof. Dr. Susanna Zierler will serve as Deputy Dean.
The Dean will be responsible for the curriculum, accreditations, examinations, organizational matters relating to organizing the educational aspect, providing students with academic advising services, and representational duties at graduation ceremonies and awards ceremonies.

Univ. Prof. DDr. Wolfram Hötzenecker will serve as the Dean of Research, assisted by Deputy Dean, Prof. Dr. Andreas Gruber.
The Dean for Research will be responsible for strengthening the university's research profile, research activities, and developing research strategies. He will also assume representational duties at award ceremonies and during events, such as the Kepler Science Day.
