"New Developments and Applications of Kinematics in Image-Guided Radiotherapy"

October 21, 2024 14:00, room MT 246

Our guest Prof. Jeff Ge from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Stony Brook University, New York, will give a lecture on 'New Developments and Applications of Kinematics in Image-Guided Radiotherapy' on October 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM, to which we cordially invite you.

Jeff Ge Brief Bio

Jeff Ge is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department at Stony Brook University. He served as the Department Chair from 2016 to 2023. His research interests lie at the intersection of computational geometry, kinematics and dynamics of machines and robotic systems.

Dr. Ge is a Fellow of ASME and served as the chairs of the ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Committee and ASME Design Engineering Division. He was chair (2012-2016) of USCToMM, U.S. Committee for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms of IFToMM--the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanisms and Machine Science and elected as Chair of the Constitution Committee of IFToMM (1999-2023). He was co-editor of ASME Journal of Mechanical Design (2021-2024) and is currently Editor-in-Chief of a new ASME Journal titled Letters in Translational Robotics. Dr. Ge is a recipient of ASME AT Yang Memorial Award in Theoretical Kinematics (2022) and the ASME Lifetime Achievement Award in Mechanisms and Robotics (2021).
