Experiments at the Swiss Light Source SLS prove the existence of a new type of magnetism, called altermagnetism.

"The experimental discovery of this new branch of magnetism is reported in Nature and signifies new fundamental physics, with major implications for spintronics." (phys.org, News, 14.02.2024, opens an external URL in a new window)
