Römisches Sachenrecht und Grundzüge des Personen- und Erbrechts
(nur im Wintersemester)

Roman property law and principles of personal and inheritance law
(only winter semester)

Content: Central parts of the Roman property law, basic features of the Roman law of persons and succession as well as the pertinent parts of the procedural law

 

Objective: To impart knowledge of personal, hereditary and property law in a systematic manner and with a view to understanding Austrian civil law

Roman code of obligations
(only summer semester)

Content: Central parts of the Roman code of obligations and the corresponding parts of the procedural law

 

Objective: To impart knowledge of special and general law of obligations

Case solutions Romanistic foundations of European civil law dogmatics - working Group
(summer and winter semester)

Content: Cases and exegesis of Roman private law (property, debt, inheritance, digest exegesis)

 

Goal: case-oriented knowledge transfer

1. Specialization: Selected areas of Roman law (summer and winter semester)

Content: Dogmatic historical problems

 

Goal: Dogmatic historical understanding from Roman and civil law

Content requirements: Knowledge of the law of obligations, inheritance and property

2. Specialization: Working group cases of Roman law
(summer and winter Semester)

Content: Cases and exegesis with references to Roman law - civil law (dogmatic history)

 

Goal: Dogmatic history deepening
