Once again, high school students have an opportunity to learn more about future options after earning a Matura diploma.
The SIM study fair will open on Wednesday, September 20, and end on Friday, September 22. High-school students can attend the study fair free of charge between 9:15 AM to 2:15 PM daily to learn more about the wide range of educational opportunities available in Upper Austria as well as at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
Students from around Upper Austria can visit numerous information stands at the JKU to learn more about programs offered at the JKU, as well as programs offered at other universities, universities of applied sciences, academies, health profession institutions, and the Austrian Armed Forces.
Stefan Koch, JKU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, remarked: "Students can choose from over 100 academic degree programs offered at the JKU, and that is just a sample of the wide range of options available to young people in Upper Austria. I hope that those attending the SIM study fair will enjoy the atmosphere and learn more about prospective academic and career options when deciding what to do after earning a Matura diploma."
Opportunities for Potential of All Kinds
In addition to important information about pursuing an academic degree (student dormitories, financial aid, study assessment testing, and career guidance and advising services, etc.), visitors will have the opportunity to get to get better acquainted with the campus and its facilities as well as attend mock lectures. The state of Upper Austria organizes the annual September SIM study information fair in cooperation with the JKU, providing approximately 4,000 young people with information about their options after high school.
