2nd Strategy-as-Practice (SAP) Austria Community Day at Johannes Kepler University

[Translate to Englisch:] SAP Austria Community

Last Tuesday on 18th February, the Austrian SAP community gathered for the 2nd Strategy-as-Practice Austria Community Day at Johannes Kepler University. The event was organized by Milena Leybold (JKU Linz), Leonhard Dobusch (University of Innsbruck), and our colleague Theresa Füreder.

The aim of the community day was to strengthen connections among Austrian SAP scholars and foster exchange on research ideas. Scholars from Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Linz and our guest from Switzerland participated, making it a fantastic gathering. A pre-event dinner on Monday already set the stage for engaging discussions, which continued the next day during our official community meeting. Together, we mapped research interests, explored potential future collaboration opportunities, and discussed ways to strengthen the Austrian SAP community.

A special highlight was the keynote by David Seidl (University of Zurich), who shared insights from his co-authored paper “What makes activities strategic: Toward a new framework for strategy-as-practice research”, opening the floor for an inspiring discussion.

A big thank you to everyone who joined! We look forward to continuing our exchanges during the summer term and look forward to the next Strategy-as-Practice Austria Community Day in 2026!
