Over 60 stations at the JKU highlighted the university’s diverse areas of research in a straightforward, often interactive and relatable way as well as offering references into practical, everyday real-world applications. Special stations for kids sparked the interest of even our youngest visitors to learn more about research and science. In short, it was an evening full of fascinating and amazing experiments and experiences. Particularly in times of crisis - from emerging from the pandemic to the challenges of artificial intelligence and climate change - we need new ideas in order to solve global issues. Be it new medical treatments, completely recyclable plastics that do not endanger the environment, or helping to shape the digital transformation, over 3,900 employees at the JKU demonstrate their commitment and dedication on a daily basis. Upper Austria's largest institution of education and research is currently educating over 24,000 enrolled students.

Over 2,100 visitors came to the JKU to see it all for themselves. The MED Campus attracted 1,100 visitors. The event was a great success and proof of city residents’ interest in their university’s research accomplishments.
