My research focuses on investigating how actors in organizations can make sense of the way emerging technologies, like distributed-ledger technology, or artificial intelligence, will impact their respective organization’s future (i.e., strategy, business model…)? In my studies I looked at how cross-industry collaboration projects support these future-oriented sensemaking processes, and how abstract artefacts (e.g., ideas for potential business models, sketches of collaboration ecosystems or application scenarios, implementation attempts in an initial stage) help in the way people make sense of an emerging technology's impact and strategic relevance.
