Master's theses

We appreciate your interest in writing your Master's Thesis at our institute. Below you will find important information regarding master's theses.

Master's theses can be written as part of the Master's in Management programs. The accompanying master seminar will be attended.

Prerequisite

  • Methods in Management Research (Master Seminar Qualitative Research Methods, Master Seminar Quantitative Research Methods) and
  • Master Thesis in the Competence Area "Strategic and International Management in a Digital World" Completion of the following courses

           ° SE Business Models and the Impact of Digitalization and Sustainability or 

              SE Business Models and the Impact of Digitalization and Circular Economy

           ° SE Global Strategic Management

           ° SE Strategic Management in Dynamic and Complex Environments

  • Accepted Master's thesis concept: An excellent concept is the main criterion for your application to be accepted

Formalities

  • Deadline for submitting the Master's thesis concepts by e-mail to ism(at)jku.at:

        SS: February 15
        WS: September 15

  • Consideration of basic requirements for "scientific papers":

Topics

  •  You can choose your topic from the following main topics: see our topics, opens a file, opens a file (topics are updated on December 15 and June 15)
  • Please submit your paper (one-page proposal) with the prioritized topic and your proof of academic success by the specified deadlines. Please also indicate a second and third priority from the list of topics if your prioritized topic is already assigned.
  •  Either a theoretical paper (desk research) or a (theoretically sound) empirical paper can be written.
