The detailed information below is restricted to the two degree programs Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering, for which the subject area Mechatronics at JKU is responsible, as the Institute of Technical Mechanics is assigned to this subject area.

Bachelor

COMPULSORY COURSES

We offer the compulsary courses VO + UE Engineering Mechanics for Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering students. The course KV Continuum Mechanics is a compulsary course for Mechanical Engineering students, which is not mandatory for Mechatronics students.

SPECIALISATIONS

We recommend to also choose the course PR Computational Methods in Mechanics, which can be credited to the specialisation Mechanics and Smart Structures.

COMPULSARY COURSES

In the master programs Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering we offer the course KV Scientific Computing as a compulsary course, in which students acquire knowledge about the mathematical foundations of scientific computing apply the acquired basic knowledge to practical applications in mechatronics and mechanical engineering.
