Itinerary:
1:00 PM - Sudhaus - Art with salt & water:
Our day begins with a visit to the Sudhaus Exhibition at 1:00 PM. It was once called “white gold”: salt is a crucial element for the entire Salzkammergut region; even today it remains an important trade good, which leads some to prosperity and a few to richness.
3:00 PM - Guided Tour of Bad Ischl (Start: Trinkhalle):
After the exhibition, we will embark on a guided tour of Bad Ischl starting at 3:00 PM. Our local guide will lead us through the town´s attractions and cultural landmarks that have earned the town its title as the European Capital of Culture 2024. Explore the rich history and cultural significance of Bad Ischl, with fascinating exhibits that showcase the town’s transformation into a hub of European culture.
Tour Highlights Include:
• The Imperial Villa: Discover the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi).
• Lehar Villa: Visit the home of the famous composer Franz Lehár.
• Kaiserpark: Stroll through the beautiful gardens where European history was shaped.
• Trinkhalle: Learn about the historical spa culture of Bad Ischl.

It’s the perfect way to start your day to Ischl! A direct train from Linz to Bad Ischl departs at 10:04, arriving with plenty of time for you to grab a bite to eat before our event begins.
