Mauthausen is a concentration camp run between August 1938 and May 1945 by Nazi Germany during WWII. Liberated by the Allies at the end of the war, in total during a seven-year period, over 190,000 people were imprisoned in Mauthausen at the concentration camp and its subcamps, and over 90,000 lost their lives.
Schedule:
We will first join a guided tour of the camp and learn important historical facts that should never be forgotten. Following the guided tour, we will take the bus back to Linz and have lunch at the KHG dorm where we will end the excursion with plenty of time to talk about the day's events and reflect.
The fee to take part is only €5 for the entire day (including transportation, tickets, and refreshments). We will collect the fee in cash on excursion day.
Please sign up to attend by no later than May 19!
